Gavin is currently employed with NI Chest, Heart and Stroke as its Director of Income Generation. He has been employed in similar roles with the global health research organisation, Cochrane, as well as the Extern Group and the Royal National Institute for Blind People. Gavin has significant experience in income generation, communications and engagement, strategy development and public affairs.

Gavin is currently Chair of Arts Care NI which is an arts, health, and wellbeing charity that transforms healthcare environments across Northern Ireland whose mission is to improve personal health and wellbeing through creative arts experiences, accessible to all. He is also a voluntary Governor of the Linen Hall Library.

Throughout his career, Gavin has been driven by the need to create a society where the most vulnerable; whether due to low incomes, disability, age, or systemic inequality – are not only protected but empowered to thrive.  Start 360’s work does exactly that by enabling those people it supports to reach their full potential.
