Base: Belfast with potential travel to HMP Magilligan/Maghaberry
Contract: Casual Worker to end of February 2027
Hours: 28 hours delivery per month – As required by service need.
Salary: £20 per hour
Background to the role:
Working in consultation with the Service Manager and Director of Services, the post holder will deliver a range of interventions to support veterans leaving prison to reintegrate into the wider community and overcome offending histories, substance use and related challenges.
To successfully implement the care plan of each individual who is participating in the project and to ensure good running of the project and to contribute to its development.
Candidates must be able to provide holistic support for individuals leaving custody and re-integrating into the wider community.
Main responsibilities applicable across services.
- Provide support and interventions to Ex service personnel (Veterans) in the justice system.
- Manage a caseload of clients from both internal and external referral sources, with regular case review.
- Carry out detailed assessments of clients’ needs and support them appropriately, using validated tools prescribed by Start360.
- Develop care plans in agreement with each client based on identified need.
